A new program is expected to provide food for nearly a million school children in North Carolina this summer. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, today announced its intent to administer the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s new Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) Program known as “SUN Bucks.”

Cap and Gown Pictures

All seniors will take cap and gown pictures on Friday, January 26th. 

Order forms were distributed in homeroom, but can also be found in the media center.

Senior Make Up Pictures!

We have our make up day for Senior Portrait Makeup Date!

The Makeup Date will be Wednesday, January 17th from 3:30-5:30.

Pictures will be taken @ John Payne's Studio @ 200 North Sterling Street.

Ms. Barrier has sent out a sign-up sheet to senior FHS students' email.  Please sign up through that form.

Starting the first day of school, Aug. 28, 2023, all BCPS students will receive breakfast and lunch for free from their school cafeteria. BCPS has adopted the Community Eligibility Provision, a school meal option for schools and districts in high-poverty areas. This eliminates the need for BCPS families to complete the free and reduced meal application and allows all students access to free meals at school.
