On March 17th, all three Freedom High School Choirs attended Large Ensemble Music Performance Adjudication (MPA) in Gastonia, NC. All three choirs received Superior (I) ratings, which is only the second time in Freedom school history that three choirs attended Large Ensemble MPA in the same year and received all Superior ratings, the only other time being last year.

Concert Choir, a primarily 9th grade choir, performed Benedictus (Lewis) and Shine on Me (Dilworth) in Grade III and received scores of 90, 90, and 97.

Women's choir, an intermediate group of 10th-12th grade females, performed Die Meere (Brahms) and Shiru (Naplan) in Grade IV and received ratings of 88, 90, and 98.
Chamber Singers, an advanced mixed group of 10th-12th graders, performed Tu pauperum refugium (dez Prez) and Twa Tanbou (Guillaume) in Grade VI and received ratings of 95, 95, and 99. Their performance became only the third time any choir from FHS received a Superior rating in Grade VI (highest grade of MPA), with previous ones being in 1985 and 2016.

Fourteen students and a duet also performed at Solo MPA in Hickory, with nine receiving Superior ratings and six receiving Excellent ratings. Elizabeth Walker, Jessica McIntyre, Viasha Tate, Dean Hennessee, Allie Crawford, Olivia Jordan, Taylor Fox, and Chandler Smith, as well as Jessica McIntyre and Allie Crawford as a duet, received Superior ratings. Those who received Excellent ratings were Nathanael Eure, Braxton Keller, Jason Rogers, Olivia Amos, Andrew Capo, and Peyton Wheeler.
